L'etilparaben è nella famiglia parabena di conservanti utilizzati dalle industrie dei prodotti alimentari, farmaceutici e di cura personale. I parabeni mimano l'estrogeno e possono agire come potenziali disturbi del sistema ormonale (endocrino).
